Reasons I'm not a preschool teacher!

Of all the things I could do....preschool teacher has crossed my mind. It was a possibility for Becky in London and we chatted about it briefly...I thought..wow..that might be fun. But then~~~

I was having a conversation with Makayla today about how frustrated she is that Hana broke her "letter factory" DVD. Makayla is a little obsessed about what sound each letter makes. She said, "how am I ever going to know what their sounds are now, hana ruined it for me." Did I mention she's a little dramatic too. So...with our handy dandy Trader Joe's letter cookies we started going through the letters and what sound they make. When we got to "L" Makayla said, "the L says Eh" I said it says "Lah or Lllll" (not sure how to spell it) She quickly corrected me and let me know that if it has an L in the front then it should say "Lehl" and so on ...for about 5 mins. I couldn't think of a good way to make it clear to her.

Reasons I'm not a preschool teacher

1. I have failed to teach simple phonetic principles to my 4-year-old.

2. The phrase, "I need help wiping" (I don't even like that phrase from my own children)

3. I would fall asleep during Nap time.

4. Structure? what structure?

I'm sure there are more...these are only a few of the thoughts I've had just this morning. Because the majority of you who check this blog are either moms or teachers, or both, I thought you might enjoy my antics.

Till next time,

stay sane!
P.S. If it weren't for the funny things our kids do, we might not be able to keep our sanity. They help us laugh...even when we want to be cranky. This is a picture of Hana after she found my mascara. It's hard to see in this picture, but she applied it to her brows....giving her a "Frida" look. It was sooooo funny!

Reason #475 why Becca is not a pre-school teacher: I barely like my children, yours would surely be beaten.

Oh Jenny- I think that I would not keep my sanity if it weren't for your blog- forget the funny things my kids do or say. Thank you for making me laugh!

Reason #53 why Becky is not a pre-school teacher: They don't want British children learning the American accent from an ex-pat teacher!
Reason #10: It has been said that God only gives us what we can handle. I've been given Year 3 kids (7-8 years old), so obviously HE knows that I wouldn't be able to handle anything under that!!
