Viruses Suck!

Just a little shout out to let you know that I am sitting at the Library..checking my email and updating blog in Sorrow.! My computer ifs very ill with a very serious virus and the prognoses is not looking good! So I'm not sure how often I'll be able to give updates on the vick clan! Hopefully soon.
Play me a little violin song in your head...and wear black. Today is a sad day of realization....My computer may never be the same again...and with our income...we may become regulars at the local library. Dj and I laughed...now maybe I'll dedicate more time to cleaning and less time to blogging.....
Ya right!

MySpace.com Blogs - Jenny Vick MySpace Blog: "Monday I officially finished recording the vocal tracks for my EP! What a feeling. We've been working on this for like a million years...(8 months)...and the day had come. I can eat dairy again!!! Recording went really smooth and problem free. Unfortunatley the joy of being 'finished' was interrupted with the news that one of our final tracks had been deleted by mistake! Oh man...so back to the studio it is...one more song..then my job is done...
Then mixing..and done! Stay tuned. Thanks~ jen"

A day at the Zoo!

Happy Anniversary to us! On Tuesday we celebrated our 8th year of Marriage!!! Since we already took a big trip this year (London) we decided to take the kiddos to the zoo. We had a year pass last year so when we went before we never thought about the cost. When we got there and shelled out our $54 dollars just to get in....we decided we better make a day of it! And what a fun day it was!!!

my little critters!

The girls loved being able to pet the goats. I do find it a little ironic that we pay for our kids to do things that I grew up doing in my backyard :)

Mak was in a funk and I had to tickle her to get her to smile..almost taking us down to the ground in the process. This is Hana's favorite animal (above) it is a red panda..looks more like a red raccoon...she has a stuffed animal of it and sleeps with it every night!

Zoomailia...or maybe it's zoomania...anyway..I place inside for kids to chill out..play games..go down slides etc... It's a nice break in the middle of a long Hot day a the zoo!

Makayla the Frog!
The flamingos are new here at the zoo and I was so excited to see them...but less than impressed with their habitat. it looked like flamingos in the woods. But still neat.
I went to take this picture and just as I did I noticed that face of makaylas...check it out. What had happened? Remember that Froggy tongue she had above in the previous pictures? She had dropped it overboard into the flamingos pond. A nice colorful addition to their habitat. How embarrassing to have to track down a zoo worker and say..."excuse me..my child dropped her froggy tongue into the flamingo pond." Nice!

Hana had requested from the mention of the zoo that she wanted to see the little monkeys and the red panda and the turtles! Your wish is my command!

Nothing better than a nice cold treat on a Sweltering day. 80 and humid!
There was a new baby gorilla at the zoo! So Adorable.

Hana...how big is the Komodo Dragon Lizard?

The Sloth Bear! He was funny! picking up logs and rummaging about!

We love the Butterfly exhibit! It's one of our favorites! Do any of these species look familiar to you? what adorable butterflies my kids make!

Most of the animals were very sleepy on this hot day!

This Ostrage (sorry I really don't know how to spell that) actually had a huge bundle of eggs that she had laid. Super cool to see. mak was totally thrilled about it!

Makayla was quite the little navigator! Enforcer of all things Directional!

Makayla took this picture in the Aviary!

The girls (above) are watching the monkey (below) eat a Banana! Better than what we've seen them eat in the past! Pooh!

We ended the day in the gift shop! We didn't get anything but had a ton of fun looking around. Time to take these Little critters home! They were so tired!

Well...my camera died :( I can't find my charger and my battery is dead...but after the zoo we went to University village for dinner at a really cool pizza place and had a ton of fun!
Thank you God for 8 amazing years with my husband and for Two Amazing little girls!

Oh hana!

She says the funniest things...

at my mom and dads house...6:30 am..snuggled in bed with papa and grammy...hearing the clock tick.."papa....do you hear that? That's time....ticking away! I'm hungry..."

What 3 year old do you know that referes to the time like that...silly.

She also thought that Emma (my parents lab) wanted to play duck duck goose because she had batted hana on the head with her paw! Sooo cute.

more quotes:

"when I grow up to be a good mommy i'm going to give Makayla whatever she wants."

"That's the most Egnornomerous mountain i've ever seen."

"Jesus is still listening even if we can't hear him"

"if you give me a snack....I'll eat my lunch."

"I'll stop scratching my legs if you stop looking at them"

I love this girl!!! Her preschool teacher will be busy answering questions...about everything.
