Dj and I have been married now for a whopping 7 years! It feels like it's been about 2 or 20 depending on the day. ;) just kidding about the 20 part. It has gone by so fast that we almost didn't remember to make any plans. oops. We did our best to get away. I had the flu Tuesday...mak got it Tuesday night...she was doing great Wednesday so we decided that we could go on Thursday! We headed up to the Salish Lodge & Spa for some relaxation.
This is us at Salish. Before we got up to Salish we went and had pedicures. Yes...I said WE went. I convinced Dj that it would be fun. He actually liked it. FYI: I'm sure he would want me to tell you that he did NOT get any polish on his toes :)

This was one of my favorite parts. Our bathroom had a huge spa tub and a window that opened out into the bedroom. I could watch T.V., take a bath, and talk to Dj all at the same time. Nice!
We had what they called the "Historic view" a.k.a. (cheaper than the water fall view) I thought it was great! Some Old building and some pretty water right before it went over the falls! If this was Becky's blog she would tell you what kind of building that was and what they used it for. I just thought it looked cool! :)
When we got into our room we had a nice little note signed by some of the strangers...I mean staff at the lodge. I think it was super nice...but a little strange to get a signed card from a bunch of people we didn't know. Would have been less strange if there were gift certificates to the spa in it or something. :)
This was one of our favorite parts too. the Soaking tubs. Both at 104 degrees...the upper tub spilled into the lower tub. It was really peaceful because there was no talking aloud. There was also a Eucalyptus steam room that was super intense like breathing in pure Vic's vapor rub ~ in a nice way.

This is a picture of my yummy breakfast. This is the Third course! I had a cup of coffee...a bowl of fruit..muffin...yogurt...then oatmeal...eggs and stuff..then the pancakes were going to be the 4th course. I was saving room the entire time for the pancakes when we got the call. Makayal was throwing up again...and Hana had joined in the fun! We left our pancakes and got straight home to get our girls.

They were soooo tired. Sleeping Beauties. Hana slept for about 2 hours and I think Mak may be out for the whole night.

Poor little sick princess....glad to be back in her own castle!
We can't wait to get back the Salish Lodge. We try to go somewhere different every year for our anniversary...but I think we will be going back there for our 9th. (We are going to London to visit the Pilgrims in 2008 so that will count for our 8th) Yippee!

Jenny & DJ - Happy Anniversary Late!!! Wow, seven years already? Love the pictures of the lodge...looks like a great place to relax and celebrate. I love that you have a blog so I can see pictures of your family as the girls grow up. Oh and you look super cute in the pictures of you two.
uh oh. Don't read my blog. Then you won't find out that Olivia was sick on Sat. morning... and on Sunday evening we were at your place. I am thinking that your misery could have been avoided if we were avoided.... I am sooooo sorry.
On a much brighter (and less guilty) note- Dan has agreed- if DJ can get a pedicure, then he thinks he could endure it!!! (THanks DJ!!)
Lets get together this week- we are all healthy (I promise).
Congrats!
Love the update...looks like fun and Happy Anniversary. Sorry you had to come back home early, hope everyone is better.
