Valentines day in Bath!

OK..so technically we are home now..but I'm still on day three or so of our trip..so I am going to continue till I've got it all said, stated, and posted!!
Here we are..all four!!! We are getting ready to run to our platform to catch our train to Bath!!
Mailing a quick note to family in one of many adorable red post "boxes"

This is a cool little pub we stopped in to relax after a long day of train riding and spa going!!
I saw this sign at a different pub.."The huntsman" and thought it too adorable not to capture on film...or on digital memory!

Bath is pure cuteness......that's cute..with a ness at the end!

The view from the bridge we walked over from our B&B
Four musketeers in front of the Abby
So...I know this looks rather odd, so I'll explain a bit. There is a natural spring in Bath..and a local spa harnesses the water..and uses it for their soaking tubs. On Valentines night they offered a cool deal (not really a steal kinda deal ~ but still fun) where we could go and eat there and use all the soaking tubs and saunas... including the super cool rooftop tub with a view of the Abby lit up! So we did it! The four of us.
This was towards the end of three hours in the water! It was totally fun. Not as strange as it may sound :) he he he
Me, Becky, and Jane Austen just hanging out in Bath. Jane was cool! Eva, Becky and I are all reading Persuasion. Correction: Becky has already finished it! Little stinker.

oooh...Le piece De la resistance! Becky and I totally loved this stinky place. The Fine Cheese Company! We sat and had lunch here and then later picked out a couple cheeses and snacked on them back at the house! It was stinky...but delicious!

Our delicious cheese platter beck and I shared! Mmmmmm
Our home away from home, away from London... in Bath!

Big man in a tiny doorway.
Adorable shops atop the bridge in Bath
This is our..."we are having so much fun I can't believe we are really doing this" picture!

The Actual Roman Baths...still functioning ...in Bath

This is a picture of Micah inside the Roman bath structure with an amazing shot of the Abby in the back.
Ornate.
Jacobs latter adorns the outside of the Abby on both sides of the front doors. This is a close shot of one of the angels.

Love the Pipe organs.

Crazy Kids. Inside the Roman bath area! We had a super great time here! more than I can even take the time to share in one post. We also had great conversations over coffee...walked and saw the royal crest...had an entirely way to long conversation with an old man that all but held us hostage at a cathedral! And laughed about stinky cheese! Fun times.

So much London .... too little time!

I've got so much blogging to do...but I'm just having too much fun...so here some of what we've been up to.

Below are pictures of the changing of the guards at Buckingham palace...it was great!

Above dj and I eating a snack with beck before we head into the National art Museum seen behind us! It was absolutely amazing.

Statue (above) at trafalger square.

A beautiful church.

Cute Busses!

So we are having an amazing time. Too much to even talk to much about. I might save the rest of the blogging for when we return home so that I can spend more time and detail! We love being here and I don't want to waste too much time away from micah and becky doing this.

Talk to you about it all when I get home! Cheers!!!

We are in London!!!

We made it!!! This is us after a long flight with several delays!! Jenny (me) not having slept in 30 hours....(I don't do well on planes :) ) we washed our faces and hit a local pub with becky. Micah was out of town..he gets back tonight ;)
Dj enjoying his "bangers and mash" at the pub. I had a super yummy fish and chips! delicious!
After sleeping in ...and having a wonderful breakfast we headed out to see some sights. we went to the Queens house.. This use to be the Queens country home but it is now outfited as a museum. This is the tulip staircase. Becky took a few pictures before we read the sign that said..."no pictures please" Ooops!
Dj and I atop greenwich park with the queens house down below! this is wear the primeridian is. The litteral line that marks the center of the earth!

Dj on one side of the primemeridian and me on the other :)

Daffodills!!! Amazingly sunny...yet crisp...and things are blooming!
The details of these chuches are breathtaking...just walking in and seeing the beauty and the creativiy of it all is a religious experience all by itself.
This is one of many amazing pipe organs i have seen! They blow my mind!!
The Queens house (old vacation home)
a super cute little cottage...i just thought it was adorable.
This was one of my favorite parts of the first day's outing. walking over the heath to blackheath village. it was so open and wide and beautiful.

We stopped here for coffee in blackheath village. Yes...there are Starbucks here... but not like Seattle. You are better off in the local shops! Then you won't be so dissapointed when it doesn't taste like "home"

dj just like this ...he's silly

Back out after a dinner break! We went to see the Tower bridge and London at night! soooo pretty. we walked over tower bridge...around the London towers and enjoyed our time togeter!

Me and Dj before we went over the Tower Bridge! The archetecture over here is truly amazing.
What a first day in London. So we flew from Sunday into Monday....went out and about on Tuesday ...walked all around out and about today (there will be a post on that later) and my calves officially feel like they are about to fall off! We are soo happy to be here and having a great time..However , I may have to get a massage when I get home because I'm so sore from all the walking!! Cheers from London!
