It all started with a phone call!
DJ called Makayla to formally ask her out on a date!A few weeks later the day had arrived! Time for primping!!!

It's amazing how opinionated a 4-year-old can be about the details of her hair-do! Mommy worked hard until we had it just right!

Did I mention it was a double date? Dj and Makayla went out with Makayla's buddy Briella and Briellas daddy~ Mark. Ruby's Diner was a hit. They had a ton of fun....but not a ton of dinner :) Makayla and Briella have been friends since their days in the whom. I'm pretty sure they don't remember that far back...but their first official play date was when they were about 2 months (briella) and one week (makayla)

After dinner they went to the pet shop....and Makayla found a new fish for our empty tank.

Makayla came home beaming! I think she felt really special. Obviously I hope she feels special like that all the time, but there is something especially wonderful about spending time being treated like a princess by your Dad!

Soooo cute! She did come home beaming- that was so cute (I enjoyed their date because I got Jenny date then!!). Can't wait for Olivia to get big enough to appreciate Daddy dates!
I admire your parenting and the special attention you give to the details of making your daughters feel special and loved! I remember "lunches out" with my dad and special times when I got to go to work with him... memories that have lasted over 20 years! I'll be that Mak's date with Daddy will last her lifetime too! So special! Thanks for sharing it with us. :)
