We have a Blue Spruce leaning in our back yard. I'm not sure if it's loosing it's footing, or perhaps it's just lazy...but it's making me nervous. We've decided to take action. Our dear friends Mark and Eva came over the other day....chainsaw in hand.
This part was a little scary. Dj pulled on one side of the tree while mark cut it down. I mean...I want the tree to come down...just not on my husband :)

I Blinked....and Mark had the entire tree de-limbed. Like lightning!
An equally unnerving moment. Letting Dj play with a chainsaw in flip flops! How could I deny him the experience? I just took one picture and went inside! It was too much to watch.
In two short hours Mark and Dj took down the blue spruce...a small Maple....and some other thing growing over my roses too close to the house. They had them cut..chopped...and in the truck just in time to enjoy a Vick BBQ. I was impressed!

Please tell me DJ was wearing shoes while he was using the chainsaw...okay I can't watch anymore either.
no....He had on flip flops!!!! Crazy City boy. I went inside and made cobbler!
So pretty much the part of his food that would have gotten the chainsaw had a plastic reef tab covering it...do they make steel two flipflops? Here in Japan you can buy tennis shoes that look like skateboarder shoes that have steel toes...they are pretty funny. I'm glad DJ didn't cut off his toes.
