Sonics Family Night ends in Victory!!!

Many of you know...the Vick family is a basketball watching family. The girls have been to almost as many games as I have....maybe more if you include the date night games they have with daddy! This past Tuesday we went to the Spurs/Sonics game....anticiapting that the Spurs would probably stomp on the Sonics and we would leave early and get to bed! We were wrong. the game was within two points almost the entire time..then the Spurs had about a 10 point lead and the Sonics came back and beat them 88 to 85 in the very last seconds of the game to break their 14 game loosing streak! We had an amazing time. Was I tired the next day whe I woke up at 3am to go to work??? absolutely...was it worth it? You bet!!

We ate dinner at the Seattle Center and the girls laughed at themselves hestarically while looking at this silly mirror. It was so funny!

During the game they did a 'strong' pose competition...this was Mak's :) The red eye adds to the fierce look :)

It's pretty surprising to me how much of the game the girls watch!

We wern't exactly close to the action...so we took turns passing the binoculars..or "rinoculars" as Makayla likes to call them. The little boy in the picture is Jacob. He is Hana's little buddy!

(clear and crisp photos complement of Kerri ...thanks kerri!)
We are so Proud of our Sonics!!!
Out for the count. the girls were crazy when we got in the car after the game...and it was starting to drive me crazy too...then all of a sudden a silence fell over the car..and everything was right with the world!

Go have a little fun with the ones you love!

let it snow!!! Again!!

It totally dumped!!! I woke up to go to work at 3AM...and we had 4 inches snow!!!Dj helping the girls build a snowman...

Hana in the snow...after she cried and cried about having to wear a hat and mittens...it was like 30 outside!!!
My snow angel!

Hana went in before the snow man was complete because she was too cold...but mak stuck it out to the end!! :) Super cute.

Our patio furniture that never made it into the garage! Ooops.

We love the snow!!! I'm not your typical Seattle girl! I grew in the snowy lands of Klamath Falls Oregon...so a little snow doesn't keep me from work like the other 4 people that called in "sick" that snowy day! The girls totally enjoyed playing in it and drinking hot cocoa afterward! To be honest, we needed a change of pace around here...something to go outside and do :)
Thank you God for snow!!!

What a difference a day makes!

Hana's new and improved person and name~ I couldn't believe it. In one day..since my last post...she has improved soooo much! This is why as crazy as it is that I wake up at 3:10 am and go to work and paint at night after the kids go to sleep so that I can be a part of their day.....It's moments like these that make my sleep deprived insanity all worth it :)

Please take note that these 'A's are right side up..and that her person now has shoes and hair and eyes and a mouth. Previously we were looking at upside down 'A's an M instead of an N and a big circle with very long legs..eyes..and arms!

I said it before and I'll say it again...What a difference a Day Makes!!

Mostly Hana!!

I thought I would tell you a little about Hana: Age 3
I just recently went back to work at Starbucks, as I stated in an earlier blog..and I had to go in to get my tips. Many of the same people work there that did when I left...one of the ladies said.."my goodness...what are you feeding Hana." My sweet little Hana is only 1 inch shorter than her 5 year old sister and weighs exactly the same as her older sister! She's my little bodybuilder! She has the muscles of a body builder without working out. Something I hope she appreciates when she is in high school! But this day she was snow white..a very dainty snow white!
Here are Hana and Makayla coloring on the white board in the garage that we got them. Hana has started to draw actually pictures of people. With the big circle heads and the arms and legs coming straight out the sides! I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture or not.

See Mom...I buttoned it myself!!

Hana has taken a permanent job as Carriage driver to "princess" (term not used lightly here) Makayla. The bottom bunk is the carriage..and Hana is in front with the horses. I said ..wow..they are so pretty ..how many horses do you have? "78! said Hana!!!

Makayla and Hana in the Carriage
Hana fell madly in love with Harley! Our friends dog whom we watched for a few days. Her asthma is too bad for us to have an indoor dog all the time...but she sure did enjoy it while it lasted...and Harley liked her too...He fell asleep at the foot of her bed at night!

I can't believe how fast the time has gone! Hana is getting herself dressed now....having actual opinions about stuff (not because it's what makayla thinks..but because it's what Hana thinks). She can now Make and H..an upside down A and an N in attempt to spell her name! She if very quick to correct anyone that calls her Hannah...and her favorite thing to do is play dress up or ponies! She is completely potty trained...through the night even..and is an avid hand washer. She may have OCD issues with that ...we'll see. Hana is my sweet little darling and I"m trying to soak in every min...because she is growing up soooooo fast!
Hana will go to pre-school in the Fall :( The same time that Mak starts kindergarten....and I will cry and cry...for about a week! Then I'll Party!

It's Official!

It looks like Howard S. and I decided to go back to Starbucks at the same time. Howard thought...if Jenny can do it, then so can I. :)

After lots of praying and thinking and stressing out..Dj and I decided that I could do it :) I worked at Starbucks for three years....and quit about one year ago because it became too demanding...but I've gone back with more boundaries and so far I'm having a lot of fun. I meant to take a picture of my first morning back...but it was too early...(I work at 4am) so I wasn't thinking clearly. The neat thing is that once I got there I felt like I had hardly been gone! Customers all welcomed me back very kindly. One man actually said, "Jenny, did you go on Vacation?" Ya...for like a Year...Silly man! Wish me luck...:) Here's to free drinks...beans...tea...and to early wake up calls!

This is my friend Mandy and I last Halloween at Starbucks! Good times.
