What?

Left to his own devices at church...Eli discovered Kleenex! He loved to rip it and eat it...I thought the Big girls were watching him...Dj was talking to people after church and I was running to the car super fast. I guess super fast just isn't fast enough.

It feels like the first time.....Parenthood that is.

(Having fun with my girls....Photo booth is a family favorite)

Having Eli has been like having a 1st child all over again.

How often should he nurse...what should he be eating...is he eating enough...

The funniest thing is that for that past 8 months of his life we have been putting him to bed at 11...sometimes not really getting him till 1 am...ahhh. then..all of a sudden..we put him down at 8:30 and BAM! It's his magical bedtime. Then I remembered that Mak was totally the same way...it was like we forgot how to read the signs!!!! We finally won! Yay!

Eli is now 9 1/2 months old! It has gone so fast. He is crawling and pulling himself up on everything. I think it goes so fast because I'm also very busy with the girls...homework..girl drama...church stuff...ect. I am enjoying life a lot more now too. I'm a little bummed how fast everyone is getting grown up :( stop growing!! stop it! But I'm feeling much better about the routine of things! Family is an amazing part of life. I couldn't imagine our family without Eli...when just 18 months ago he was only known by God! Amazing how He interrupts our lives in the most magnificent ways!

I'm looking forward to summer...unscheduled time with the kids. No wake up time...no homework time...relaxed bedtime. Here's to approaching summer ;)

Eli is crawling

And now he is everywhere....Wow! It's a new world. A world where I have to sweet 4 times a day...and have kiko's food put up ...and watch where I step...because Eli might be underfoot!

He loves sitting by the back window. Today he was looking for kiko.. :) it was so cute i had to step outside and take a photo. Cute sweet smooshy face :) Happy 8 1/2 months little guy!

Big news for the Vick family!

Dj has been announced as the next senior pastor of Eastside Foursquare Church here in Bothell. This is the same church we have been serving at for almost 11 years. The transition will take place in June (father's day weekend) and we are very excited about this opportunity. I am very proud of Dj! We are excited for the future of the church, and so humbled by the confidence our current senior pastor and his wife have in us. Pastors Jim and Betsey have been in ministry for over 45 years, as we enter into this new chapter, we are equally excited for the two of them to enter into a new season of life, one that still includes ministry, but also a little more relaxation!

Here's to a new Adventure!

The Week from the double hocky sticks!

Week in Review...

Dj went on a pastors retreat and separated his shoulder skiing. He is getting an MRI today to see what needs to be done. Therefore, he cannot pick up, change, anything, Eli related.

I have developed bronchitis and a sinus infection and not sleeping due to cough..and baby

Dj accidentally hit a concrete pole in a tight parking lot (scratched the car but not that bit a deal considering the car is old anyway) when he got home he said..what else could go wrong...well

We woke up to both our cars having been broken into....

Ugh... I think that should be the end of anything bad for a while ...what do you think?

ok...done venting.

just because

A few things....

Eli, now 7 months, is on the slow track for food initiations! All I know for sure is he loves to nurse..and loves to eat...but he does not share his mothers love for Avocados :( Sadly!!!

Makayla is starting a new and crazy world of girl drama at school....for that I pray for her daily..and hang with her even more...

Oh How I wish it would snow one more time before spring :)

oooooohhhh man...the kids are getting so big so fast! I can hardly believe how smart and wonderful they are.

We are thinking of getting chicks this spring...and as you know..chicks turn into chickens. Makayla wants to know how we can make sure we won't have babies in our eggs. I said because we won't have a rooster. "what does a rooster have to do with it." Oh shoot, i did ...i did just open that can of worms. All is said was that they need a mommy and a daddy...that was enough for then...until dinner when she overheard our conversation about a friend having a vasectomy. Oh Lord help us.....
