I have been eyeing these pretty pink/purple bushes since they started blooming this spring. There are some at my house, but mine don't look this amazing! These particular bushes are at Makayla's bus stop, and face the sun most of the time. So today after Mak got off the bus, I made them stand in the freezing wind so that I could take their pictures! Bless their little hearts!

Eli @ 29 weeks in utero!

So, Some of you have already seen this on facebook, but I just had to share it here. It's crazy weird, and amazing that they can take these kind of photos. I'm glad to be able to look at his face, but I also would still like the element of surprise when he is born. We are suppose to have another ultrasound at 36 weeks and I am going to ask them NOT to do any 3-D if possible. We will see what they say. I don't think at this point the 3-D photos are giving them any crucial information, I think it's just fun for them to do. My friend Andrea, ( we have had all three pregnancies at the same time), just had her baby this morning. 9lbs 7oz. Makes me so excited to meet Eli, bring him home, and Not be working ;) I'm hoping he's not a ginormous baby, but there isn't really anything I can do about that I guess! They are telling me that he is still very large, but not "call the news stations giant baby," said the tech. Again, only time will tell :) we are very excited to see what will happen. Hana has also decided that after watching me get my rogam shot, she would rather not be in the delivery room. ;) I agree!

sorry note..updated
Later the same week...Mak had to write a note TO Mrs. Barton apologizing for taking things (lucky charms) of her desk without asking...it has lead to three emails back and forth about Makayla's behavior and is now ending in a parent/teacher meeting on the 29th. It's frustrating and funny at the same time. Frustrating because it's like "am i doing all i can do as a parent" and funny because everything coming out of Makayla's mouth is funny. It's hard to be upset when I know I was exactly the same when I was her age. She is getting in trouble for "being a distraction, constant talking/giggling." Maybe I should write Makayla a note...

My Dear Sweet Makayla,
I am so so sorry that you have so many of my genetic traits. I apologize for passing along my ability to totally daydream while a teacher is talking and also my ability to entertain my peers. I apologize for reading to you ... your large vocabulary is just getting you into trouble! I will try and behave myself more in the future..maybe it's not too late to rub off onto you. Let's work together to spare your teachers unnecessary gray hair. Unless it's warranted!
Love,
Mom

The Joys of Parenthood!
Makayla explained to me today the talking Monster took over her body today and she got in trouble in class. As a result, the scarf I lent her was confiscated...and she had to stay in from recess and write this note to us. It is so hard to take something so cute seriously, although I know it is serious, and Mr. Barton is as sick of repeating herself as I am. Forgive her..she is her mother's daughter!
