what a day!!!

As sirens sound in the background..."Babe..i'm ok..I was in an accident..i'm going to be late." Dj called to let me know he had been hit. I wish I could get the pictures off his camera of the whole ordeal...but I only have the ones of the truck that I took! Dj was at a ligh waiting to turn left when all of a sudden he was hit by a lady doing 35mph she swerved (luckily for dj) but that made her flip her car. Dj then rammed the car in front of him and all the windows in that car exploded on impact! It scrunched that car pretty good. When Dj left the scene they were still trying to get the lady out of her overturned vehicle! Scary! He couldn't drive his car home so I went to get him and they had totally closed down "down town Bothell." because of the accident and you couldn't get anywhere. Dj made it to the collision center down the street so I could pick him up. That was an unexpected turn of events for our evening!
So here is the truck...it's a tiny beat up in the front..but this is the main damage...the back tire is all crooked...and it lifted the bed of the truck..not to mention the obvious holes in the metal!

I'm sad to say that they may have to 'total' that bad boy! We are praying about the outcome and will keep you posted! The good news is that Dj is feeling good. He has a nasty bruise on his arm..and his back is a little tight. ..but he feels good!
Why go home and sulk about a car when there is a baseball game to go to! We put our cares behind us and headed to the Mariner's game! One of the only ones they have won all season! Yay! Above: Ava simmons, Makaya, and Marcie (the Preschool coordinator for the church) and a super cool friend!
Ava and Mak...hammin it up..you should have watched them dance...Ava had all the moves!
Hana and Marcie...Hana is probably telling Marcie some made up story.
We lucked out!! We had to leave early because of my early schedule...and ran into this guy..the girls were so excited. Mak was eager to say hello...Hana was happy to observe! Hana informed me on the way to the car .."Mommy did you know that 3 year-olds don't really like those kinds of mooses yet?" I did not know that.
We passed the Krispy Kreme on our way to the freeway...no words were necessary..Dj and I just looked at each other and we knew...

Nothing like a something sweet to end the day!

hey! I'm so glad DJ is okay! That's terrible about the truck! Yikes, but hopefully you guys will be compinsated well for it! I'm so bummed you can't come down to Salem. Sorry I couldn't give you more notice...I bought my ticket about 2 weeks ago so it's been a last minute trip! I wish we could drive to you but I think it would be a really bad idea with our little boys...way too difficult to tackle. I miss you!

Geeze. What a mess, but praise God Dj's all right and I hope the other lady is too?! I suppose that's one thing to appreciate about living in London... a train may get cancelled or engineer work may be done on your line, but at least there aren't any crashed. Well, mostly there aren't any crashes... on the trains. :)

Jenny, man o man, what a bummer about the accident! I'm glad DJ is ok! I hope everyone else involved is too. I'll pray for a speedy conclusion to this story and a happy ending too! :) Glad to see the Mariners won their game, and that the girls got to see the Moose. :) Talk to you soon.
Love, Jacquie

Hi friend,
The crooked tire looks familiar. I was in an accident (side swiped) real close to your Starbucks, ten hours after buying the car.... by a man going 35 mph! Thankfully DJ only has a sore back- but with his back history, that can't be a good thing.
Love the game photos. I wish we could have come! Lets talk soon- my sched. is pretty wide open for photos!!
Love,
Kerri
