Ahoy!!! Ocean Park!

This past weekend Dj was invited to speak at a youth retreat! It just so happens that it was scheduled to be at my Grandparents...and I got to see my dad too! We had a ton of fun on the Washington coast!

This is the view of the bay from my dad's boat...still parked!

Say Hello to the Sentinel...my dad's fishing boat

This is my dad, Steve, untying the boat...getting it ready for take off. Makayala was adamant on taking the boat out for a ride.

First Captain Makayla reporting for Duty!

This is my dad's lucky fishing hat...I didn't know he had one...but apparently he does ;)

The girls' favorite part was going down below in the sleeping quarters. Makayla literally fell down into the sleeping quarters...(you crawl down a latter to get to the beds). She survived! I don't think she wanted to cry in front of Papa on his boat.

The girls climbing into the bunks.

We had such a fun time on the boat. It was cute...Makayla wanted to take it out so bad...then when we got out on the water...and the Harbor got smaller and smaller...she said....."I think we better head back now...we don't want to be far away." My cautious little adventurer. We even saw a seal...but I didn't get any pictures!

The girls relaxed while sipping hot cocoa with Papa and watching chirp, peep, and quack! (a cartoon....not a movie about mental breakdowns)

Hana and great grandpa watterberg (my grandpa) nearing his 80th birthday! She really enjoyed her snuggle time with grandpa and grandma!

They love their Papa!
Every trip to the coast has got to have a seagull feather in it!

The kids got ice cream! Dj with his standard bubble gum and the girls with chocolate chip mint.

We got to see a real live train derail! They were cleaning it up ... It was amazing..it totally messed the rails up...but it was pretty cool to see! I It was a freight train..I don't believe there were any injuries!

One of the super fun part of the trip was when we all went swimming together at the camp pool...but we were all in the pool...so no pictures were taken! Also...it didn't rain...it lightly sprinkles for an hour or so.....other than that..the weather was amazing..Dj had a great time with the youth...and we made some new memories as a family :)

What a great update! Fun photos and fun memories... My favorite photo is of the girls sipping their cocoa and Papa in the background with his mug! Please pass our hellos and hug along to him and your mom next time you see/speak to them!

Paul got a kick out of the pic of DJ w/ his icecream. Is it resting on his chin?
