Makayla found one of those orange and black fuzzy caterpillars. Our neighbor gave her a really cool thing to put it in so that it would have space to hatch and fly around....like they do in the preschool classes at school.I hung it up.. My only rule? Ask permission if you want to look at it to keep the fuzzy safe!
Mom: in bed sleeping...
Girls: up to no good
Mom: woken up abruptly with crying
Makayla: Mom...I was trying to open the zipper and I didn't know the Caterpillar was there and I think it's dead...
Mom: (eyes hardly open) well where is it?
Makayla: (because hana is to upset to talk) Half of it is on the table and half of it is on the zipper!
Am I a bad mom because I had to turn my face away from them and laugh a little?
After everyone had calmed down and the bug was in the garbage...I did the motherly thing and said..."that's why we have rules." To keep little fuzzies safe! I didn't know what else to do, the girls were in such a somber mood...i felt like I had to go with it! Just a day in the life...
